Description
We’ve repeatedly been asked to run our popular Sewing Bee Clubs during term time, so we’re delighted to offer an after school sewing club for children aged 8- 12. Ideal for children who want to learn or already love sewing, Sewing Bee Club is a brilliant way for children to be creative, learn a new skill, improve their hand-eye coordination and develop their motor skills whilst having fun and making something they can be proud of!
The class is aimed at children 8 – 12 years old (please note, for insurance purposes, children MUST be aged 8 and above), and we focus on making sewing accessible, safe and enjoyable! The children are supervised at all times and for younger children the fabric will be cut for them by the tutor. Our sewing machines are all speed controlled so they can take things nice and slowly and any pressing is done by the tutor.
The club runs weekly 4.15pm – 5.35pm and booking is for a half term (5 weeks). All materials are provided.
We’ll work on 2-3 projects across the half term, but each will be taken at the pace of the individual child; if they don’t finish they can pick it up the following week. Likewise children who are speedier sewers will be given more advanced options to keep them engaged.
We are very happy for you to leave your children whilst the class is taking place (you will need to complete a Supervision Form at the start of term), but do politely request children are collected promptly at the end of the class.
Our sewing classes are relaxed and friendly, taking place at our beautiful studio at Holme Grange Craft Village in Wokingham, Berkshire.
