Work on your sewing project in our beautiful fully equipped studio with guidance from our expert teacher and chat with other likeminded sewers on this 5 week freestyle sewing course. You can choose to bring whatever you’re working on, whether it’s a dressmaking pattern, bag, quilt… anything! Finish one project from start to finish, use it as time to finish all your lingering projects, we don’t mind we’ll just welcome you into our space and help you where you need it.

Our sewing classes are relaxed and friendly, taking place at our beautiful studio at Holme Grange Craft Village in Wokingham, Berkshire. Students get to use our brand new digital Janome sewing machines and class sizes are capped to ensure everyone gets the time and attention they need. Please note we recommend these sessions are for those who are comfortable using a sewing machine independently, our Introduction to Sewing and Sewing Machine 101 classes are more suitable for beginners.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
The class includes expert instruction, use of the Janome machines, tools plus tea, coffee and biscuits!
YOU NEED TO BRING
You’ll need to bring your chosen project/pattern and required fabric and notions, including matching thread, zips etc. If you’re not sure what to make or need any guidance, please Contact Us before the course and we can give you some advice.
You don’t need to bring a sewing machine or sewing kit (scissors, pens, pencils, unpickers etc) as our sewing studio is fully equipped.
SKILL LEVEL
Confident Beginner (3) and upwards. Please note, this is not a beginner sewing class – you do need to know how to use a sewing machine comfortably. If you’re unsure please check our class levels here. Our Introduction to Sewing class is the best for complete beginners to sewing.
